Crypto Buzz: Crypto’s Role in the Elections → $3.36 Billion in Crypto Recovered → (And More...)
Let's get right into what people are talking about this week in crypto…
#1 $3.36 Billion in Crypto Recovered
A raid on a Georgia resident in 2021 resulted in the seizure of $3.36 Billion in stolen cryptocurrency. While the recovery actually took place in 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice only shared the news today.
This is the second-largest recovery of cryptocurrency ever documented.
#2 DOGE Slumps as Twitter Wallet Put on Hold
In last weeks all-Elon edition of Crypto Buzz, we pondered the future of crypto, (specifically dogecoin,) now that it’s most powerful advocate owns Twitter, one the biggest social forums in existence.
We weren’t left waiting long for more headlines.
Twitter has announced their crypto wallet development has been put on hold - and dogecoin subsequently fell 10%.
#3 Crypto’s Role in the Elections
Considering the Federal Election Commission (FEC) has already approved political bitcoin donations, it should come as no surprise that we’re witnessing a rise in crypto billionaires political involvement.
Crypto Campaign donations are allowed in five U.S. states, and the expectations is for that number to grow.
